«Panacea» is the winner

On November 29, 2017 at the Faculty of Veterinary we held intellectual competition on discipline "Pathological physiology" among the students of the 3rd year of the specialty "Veterinary medicine" to determine the fastest in quick thinking. 4 groups took part in it: students of the group 301 named their team - "Immunity", group 305 - "T helper", group 306 - "Cardia", group 308 - "Panacea". Team "Panacea" was represented by Abdigaliyev Kaisar, Serik Tomiris, Kenesbek Madi, Meymankulova Gulbanu, Baybulova Amin and Orynbekov Aigerim. The competition consisted of three rounds named: "Confused questions", “Crocodile" and "Hot seat”. In the first round teams chose the cells with question; each question had a certain degree of complexity. The more complex the issue, the more points a team receives in case of the correct answer. The team that attains the least points loses the game and automatically terminates their participation in the competition.

In the second round the team members conceive the word, choose the «victim» - a player from the opposing team, which is a secret, and tell the word. After that, the "victim" is released to freedom - to his team, where he tries to explain the word. In this case, he is allowed to use gestures and facial expressions, dancing, jumping; he is allowed to take any poses; he either shows the whole word or it’s parts; nod or shake his head "yes" and "no" to what his team member quuess, but it is forbidden to write and draw, pronounce syllables and letters (even without a sound out of his mouth), show letters or transmit the letter with sign language. In the third round, each team should select their representative and send it to the "Hot seat". Each representative of the team is given 5 questions from the opposing team.

According to the results of all the rounds, the team "Panacea" won first place, also the team captain of the team - Serik Tomiris was recognized as the best participant. Abdigaliyev Kaisar also distinguished himself and received a certificate as one of the most active participant. It should be noted, that other students of the group 308 have given maximum support in the competition to their mates. They prepared nickname banners and colorful balloons with the names of each participant. During breaks, they supported team members with kind words. All this helped participants to cope with the excitement and cheered them up. People have won kudos to the coordinated teamwork!
